With thousands of Australians becoming increasingly concerned about the impact of harmful chemicals on their health and wellbeing, Neil Reid began a global search for home care products that were non-toxic, highly effective and safe for the environment.
In the early 2000’s when Neil met a world-renowned French biochemist, the journey to make a difference, had truly begun with the creation of an innovative range of scientifically formulated cleaning solutions, created from pure essential oils and organically sourced ingredients.
A win-win
When Neil shared this opportunity with Jeanette Anderson, they knew that giving Australians the opportunity to not only enjoy using these products in their homes but also distribute them to friends and family would be a winner. A perfect business opportunity for people wanting to earn an income in a way that fitted with their lifestyle and responsibilities.
Karla Hart joined the team and Nature Direct’s first board meeting was convened (at Neil’s dining table), and plans were made to set up a production and distribution facility. With a ‘we-can-do-it attitude’, and an innovative product to sell, the trio headed out to action their vision.
It’s now over 17 years since Nature Direct started making a difference in the lives of Australian families and the vision the company started is still as strong.
